How Spotlight Ready Works

Spotlight Ready is not about eliminating nerves or expecting students to feel confident all the time. It helps students develop practical skills they can use even when pressure is present.

The program combines small-group coaching, individual support, guided practice, and opportunities to apply skills in realistic performance situations. Students learn alongside other musicians while developing strategies tailored to their own goals, experiences, and upcoming performances.

Throughout the program, students will:

  • Understand how stress and performance anxiety affect attention and consistency under pressure

  • Identify individual patterns that affect focus, confidence, or follow-through

  • Develop effective preparation and pre-performance routines

  • Practice focus, breathing, and attentional-control strategies

  • Strengthen recovery skills for mistakes and unexpected moments

  • Apply skills through guided exercises and mock auditions

  • Create practical action steps to use between sessions

Spotlight Ready is a structured virtual coaching program that combines small-group learning, individual support, guided application, and parent involvement.
